Be Inspired

Okay this is a topic that everyone faces, we all lose inspiration from time to time. It's a real messed up situation when you lack inspiration, so much so it can cause you to not function properly. So what is inspiration, it is defined as "Stimulation of the mind or emotions to a high level of feeling or activity".

I've never really thought about inspiration however, it has always been at the back of my mind. This changed when a friend sent an email with these three words "Dare To Dream". That is one of the most powerful statements I have ever heard. The mere fact that you can dream of your success is powerful enough to drive you. Looking at successful people in life they all started out with a dream people like Cesare Borgia, Cornelius Vanderbilt, Bill Gates... and so many others, they all dreamt about being great or being a success and all their actions lead to them achieving those dreams. That's possibly the greatest form of inspiration seeing yourself in a totally different situation than you are in right now. The sheer will and focus of the dream can drive you to do great things. (Note: it’s not easy to fully focus on a dream, when you got craziness occurring in your life)

When I started writing this post, I met a lady in my gym. I hadn't seen her for a while the reason for this was, she got into an accident that could have taken her life. She told me although they saved her that the pins in her leg can't be taken out and they might have to amputate it. I had a look of horror on my face & she replied oh well I have to keep smiling then she walked off. That shook me to my core. The fact that she didn't let it get to her & she kept smiling. That got me thinking about how wasteful I have been with my life. "Our life is a gift" and as long as we are breathing we should make the most of it. Her outlook inspired me to keep smiling (although it’s very hard at times.)

If you follow me on twitter, ReTweeted an inspirational video (Link), the video inspired me when I was in a down state. I started doing some research about the video & found out it was a Nelson Mandela's speech originally written by Marianne Williamson. When I read it, it put a lot of things into perspective for me.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

This post could go on forever there is so much inspiration out there, but I will draw this post to an end with this. "Life can suck & it will always push you around but you have to push back. The minute you stop pushing back is the day you die"
